Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? 2020 has been a hard year for all of us, and especially for those already in need of necessities. Many of us are looking for ways to support other Dallasites who may need a helping hand ahead of the holidays and winter months. This often forgotten community is in need of our support this year.

Prism Health North Texas is ready to launch its annual holiday supply drives and invites you to consider donating coats, food, and toys to Dallas Fort Worth families affected by HIV and AIDS.

Join PHNTX’s group of dedicated donors and help share a little holiday cheer by bringing donations to the Community & Client Services Center at 351 W Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 300.

The Coat and Warmth Drive runs from today, November 9 to December 16 and the Food and Toy drive, focusing on donations for children and teens in need, runs from November 16 to December 16.

Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX) hosts its annual holiday supply drives to help take the burden off their clients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their children affected by the diagnosis. The Coat and Warmth Drive aims to collect clean, gently worn coats and jackets from November 9 to December 16. The Food and Toy Drive, focusing on children and teenagers' needs, will take place from November 16 to December 16. Drop off locations for the supply drives will be at the Prism Health North Texas Community & Client Services at 351 W. Jefferson Blvd, Suite 300.

As the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic rise, many family members are unemployed, lacking food and clothing to stay warm in the cold season. PHNTX hopes to encourage the North Texas community to help families access basic needs and supplies, especially in South Dallas, Oak Cliff, and Pleasant Grove, who need more relief.

PHNTX continues to partner with Bank of America and Cathedral of Hope each year to support the families in need, which have garnished support from dedicated local donors. Vince Lopez donates 100 stuffed animals every year and Jimmy Medina begins in the summer to bring school supplies and toys . Since 2004, the North Texas-based nonprofit HIV/AIDS service organization has seen success in its drives as it continues to grow every year.

“We are looking forward to the holiday drives, especially as need has risen sharply this year,” Case Manager Supervisor Neacy Turner said. “We are so grateful for donors like Jimmy and Vince who have been amazing partners to PHNTX. We hope their generosity will inspire others in the community.”
