The Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra has taken 3rd Prize in the 2016-2017 American Prize Competition for Professional Orchestras while it's Artistic Director and Conductor, Jason Lim was awarded 1st Prize in the Professional Conductor's competition.  The orchestra was formed in 2012 in Denton, but moved to McKinney as its home base and has steadily made an impact to the community, bringing wonderful music to the city and its citizens.

The orchestra would like to thank The City of McKinney and The McKinney Arts Commission for its continuous support since 2014 when the orchestra decided to call McKinney home. Because of the commitment to community the orchestra has developed many outreach and education programs and starting next season the Odysseus Orchestra has formed a new exciting youth orchestra that will serve the North Texas/ Collin County region.
