Each year, State Representative Scott Sanford of District 70, selects a high achieving student for a $10,000 scholarship from the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP). This year, Representative Sanford selected Prosper resident and former Prosper High School student, Mr. Eric Sayers. Eric is currently a student at Texas A&M University and a member of the Corps of Cadets program. The Texas Armed Services Scholarship is released by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and provides a unique opportunity to encourage students to become members of the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, the Texas State Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Merchant Marine, or commissioned officers in any branch of the armed services of the U.S.  Congratulations Eric Sayers!
